RBI Grade-81 is globally patented soil stabiliser that was developed by the South African army 20 years ago. It has since undergone extensive technological advancement to provide the complete road solution.
Stabilig Road Solutions Pvt Ltd has the exclusive distribution and manufacturing rights for RBI Grade-81.
The product is a grey/brown powder, similar in appearance to cement, but flows more freely. It is packaged and transported and applied like cement, etc. RBI Grade-81 is available in bulk in road tankers, also in one tonne bulk bags and 20kg bags.
RBI Grade-81 is a blend of natural organic carbonaceous compounds.
The percentage of RBI Grade-81 is chosen for different soil types on the basis of achieving a fully bound, resilient and flexible pavement.
We specify the product on the basis of kilograms of RBI Grade-81 per cubic metre because it is designed to relate to the compacted volume of the soil. The constituent components of RBI Grade-81 are chosen and blended by their weight.
RBI Grade-81 does not have restrictive working time constraints. The hardening process of product may be re-worked for several days after product application.
RBI Grade-81 virtually eliminates reflective cracking in pavements.
Pavements stablised with RBI Grade-81, with their resilient bonding, will withstand stress and tire temperatures of trucks of 400 tonnes gross or greater.
RBI Grade-81 is a high strength binder, which may be used in a wide range of soils, including clay, with higher than normal ultra fine material. The binding and resilient bonding ability of RBI Grade-81 is an important feature with bond strength of up to 35MPa. The bind is often stronger than concrete, with a much higher elastic modulus.
RBI Grade-81 achieves an impervious, bound, flexible pavement with a high resilient modulus.
Rail, road and pavement bases stabilised with RBI Grade-81 are hard wearing, and offer strength, resilience, and flexibility. STABILIIG is suitable for all types of rail track formation and road and pavement bases, such as those used by mine plant and trucks up to 450 tonnes, or more, gross weight, transport and container terminals, airport runways and taxi ways, national parks, etc.
